HMD unveiled multiple new devices at MWC 2025. Including a Fusion X1 -a smartphone tailored for teens, two FC Barcelona-themed feature phone and a pair Amped Buds wireless earbud. The Fusion X1 focuses on safety with parental controls and boast impressive specs.

HMD Fusion X1
Leading the lineup for HMD at launches in MWC 2025 is the HMD Fusion X1, the company’s first smartphone tailored specifically for teenagers. The device developed in partnership with Xplora, Fusion X1 prioritizes safety and digital well-being, featuring parental control, location tracking and certain restrictions on access to social media. On top of that, parents can further customize the protection through a subscription-based service starting at €4.99 per month.
The HMD Fusion X1 sports a 6.56-inch HD display with 90hz refresh rate, powered by Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and up to 8GB RAM. In terms of camera, Fusion X1 comes with 108MP primary lens, a 2MP secondary sensor and a 50MP front camera for high quality selfies. Its also sports a massive 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support to ensure longer usability.
HMD, in a bid to enhance the online safety, has integrated AI-powered protection from SafeToNet, ensuring that harmful content is automatically filtered before it reaches the user.
The FC Barcelona phones
Expanding the portfolio, HMD in collaboration with FC Barcelona introduced two special edition feature phones. The HMD Barça 3210 featuring the classic Snake game set on a football pitch, combines nostalgia with the modern connectivity. It also comes with exclusive Barcelona-themed wallpapers and includes 4G connectivity and a single camera setup.
HMD also unveiled HMD Barça Fusion, the FC Barcelona-themed variant of the Fusion X1, Featuring signatures of 11 Barca players. The HMD Barca Fusion comes with a ‘Detox Mode’ to help limit screen time and a unique wake-up call function, where star players such as Robert Lewandowski or Gavi can start the user’s day with personalized messages.
Amped Buds
In an industry-first innovation, HMD has introduced the Amped Buds. The earbuds are equipped with a charging case that can double up as a power bank for charging smartphones. The 1600mAh case also support wireless charging for compatible devices, making it practical for users on the go.
The earbuds also feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) and customizable equalizer accessible via its dedicated app.
More phones and launches
HMD has also launched range of new feature phones. The HMD 130 and 150 Music models comes with built-in FM, Bluetooth 5.0 and impressive battery life. These phones are specifically targeted to users who are seeking simplicity and reliability. For users who prefer flip-phone design, HMD has launched HMD 2660 Flip boasting a mirror-finish exterior, a large 2.8-inch display and tactile physical buttons.
